In order to give back to the society, and to run the port responsibly to the environment and the long-term development of the society, all the terminals of Shenzhen Port are now contributing to building the ‘Green Port'. Shekou Container Terminal is working on a plan called ‘Green Port' recently. To execute this plan, the terminal will start the ISO14000 environmental protection management system very soon, to provide the regulations to the environmental protection behavior in the company, so as to save resource, reduce pollution, improve the quality of the environment, and build a ‘Green Port'. Dachan Bay Container Terminal (Phrase One), which is still being constructing, is going to be put into use by the end of this year. Before its opening, the port is paying much attention to the concept of environmental protection. They use the whole set of environmentally friendly equipments, and specially order the LPG forklift truck to improve the quality of air. And meanwhile they are building two waste treatment stations as well, to deal with the tank washer wastewater and the machinery oil wastewater separately. Only when the wastewater measures up after being treated, it could be released to the urban distribution network for the further treatment.
Meanwhile, Shenzhen Port is improving itself to become a ‘Green Port', which is environmentally friendly and people connecting. And I believe that, with our hard work, the future Shenzhen Port is going to be a golden beach with the most beautiful view, and a logistic terminal with the busiest scene. We will find the balance between economy development and environmental protection, and the goal for Shenzhen to become a ‘Green Port' will surly come true.
