The fifth and sixth generation post-Panamax container vessels can get alongside the wharf around the clock with the annual capacity of over 5.5 million TEU.
Luchaogang Distric: The enclosed part in Free Trade Port Area covers 6 square km. The area offers the following seven functions: checking, auxiliary departments, storage & logistics, international transshipment, purchase & distribution, processing & producing and business & trade.
Donghai Bridge, one of the longest cross-sea bridges in the world, is measured 32.5km long and links the land area with the island area of Yangshan Port. It was designed in accordance with the standard of 6-lane express highway with emergency parking zones. The bridge is 31.5m wide. The projected vehicles speed is about 80 km per hour. The whole bridge is monitored by a video surveillance system and control center. The Free Trade Port Area and adjacent areas enjoy perfect transport network. Non-bonded logistics park, railway station, container transshipment center and warehouses for dangerous cargos are built around the Free Trade Area.
