There are 12 container berths for vessels of 10,000 dwt or above in the Port, including one for vessels of 100,000 dwt. Port of Qingdao is equipped with 44 portainers or quayside cranes.
The Port has 5 ore berths (11-2), all for vessels of 10,000 dwt or above, including one for vessels up to 200,000 dwt. It employs 3 ore ship-unloaders. The Port holds the new world record of 6,260 tons per hour per ship in iron ore loading and unloading.

The terminal has 3 crude oil berths (11-3) for ships of 10,000 dwt or above, including one for vessels of 200,000 dwt. It employs 13 oil pipe machines. The maximum unloading efficiency is 4,000 t per hour.
