Terminals for Bulk & General Cargo, Ro-Ro Operation and Other Cargoes: With container operation as its mainstay business, SIPG also keeps a close eye on building wharves for general cargo, bulk cargo and other conventional cargoes. The cargoes handled there are ore, coal, chemical fertilizer, iron and steel, building materials, lumber, heavy equipment, electrical appliances, light industry and medical products.
A: Ore and Bulk Cargo Terminals: Luojing Terminal Phase One, a specialized coal terminal, is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River Estuary. It has 5 berths with a total quay length of 721 m and covers an area of about 500,000 sq m. Luojing Terminal Phase Two, a terminal for ore, coal and steel etc., is also located on the south bank of the Yangtze River Estuary, adjacent to Phase One. It is the largest comprehensive port district for handling bulk and general cargo. The terminal has 9 berths with a 2720-meter-long quay length and covers an area of 1.5 million square meters.
