More than 300 delegates and accompanying person from the Northeast Asia gathered in Kobe to attend the the 14th President’s Meeting of Ports and Harbors Association and the 16th Port Symposium in Northeast Asia in Kobe, Japan, 1-5 November, under the conference banner themes of “ How to Cope With Modern Port Logistic”.
Mr. Yasuhiro Kawashima, Vice Chairman of the Port and Harbors Association of Japan, the conference host, provided an excellent stage to debate where the port industry will be heading for the near future, covering such topics as megaships and their impacts, trends of global economy, global port competition, clean port air solutions, cruise etc. The debate was further enriched and reinforced, thanks to a wide variety of first-class speakers representing terminal operators, shipping lines, logistics services providers, transport consultants, futurology, politics, services, etc.
The host provided the delegates with an excellent future vision of what a modern logistic port would be like today and tomorrow.
Ms. DING Li, Deputy Secretary-General of China Ports and Harbours Association delivered excellent speeches during the events and answered some up-date questions about China ports.
