4. To strengthen further exchanges and cooperation with IAPH and other states and regions

As an associated member of IAPH, our association is entrusted by Ministry of Communications to take responsibility for organizing non-governmental business exchanges between our members and IAPH. Our association has kept normal contacts with IAPH, for instance our association takes responsibility to setup a port team to attend biannual world ports conference, port symposium in Northeast Asia and President's meeting of port associations in Northeast Asia. Through such regular exchanges and relevant activities, ports in China have got better mutual understanding and friendship with our counterparts in the world, thus enhancing their worldwide influence. Our association is to consistently explore more international exchanges and cooperation with our counterparts, for instance, we have reached agreements with Antwerp Port Training Center of Belgium and Nagoya Port of Japan for port professionals exchanges and training program; Our association has also jointly hosted international seminars and conferences on various subjects with relevant ports in some countries; Our association has invited port experts from other states to hold special lectures, and organized local port managers and experts to go abroad for investigations; Our association has co-sponsored various business workshops with Ports of Nantong and Fangchen to get potential opportunities in business expansion and foreign capital pursuance.

That is a general introduction to our works, we are pleased to have opportunity through this President's meeting to learn valuable experience of our counterparts that will certainly contribute to improving our stewardship in future, and to ever prosperous port development in China.
