Three Main Container Operators at Port of Dalian (8-3)

The Corporation runs two major terminals, of which the Dagang Passenger/Cargo Ro-Ro Terminal is the largest passenger terminal in Northeast China. This terminal is situated in the center of Dalian, closely adjacent to the downtown area and convenient for tourism and transportation. The other one, Dalian Bay Passenger/Cargo Ro-Ro Terminal is near the entrances and exits of Shen-Dalian Expressway and Dazhuang Expressway, the most convenient thoroughfare for Ro-Ro vehicle to the hinterland in Northeast China.

Auto Terminal:  The PDA, NYK and COSCO (Hong Kong) jointly run the specialized Ro-Ro Auto Terminal, which is designed in accordance with international standards. Up to now, two specialized auto Ro-Ro berths have been completed, one for vessels up to 50,000 dwt and the other for vessels of 10,000 dwt. The projected annual capacity is 370,000 vehicles. When the second phase is completed, the annual handling capacity will reach one million vehicles.

Bulk Grain Terminal: Dalian is an important port for grain import and export in China. The import grain and export grain through Port of Dalian amount to 3 million tons and more than 10 million tons respectively per year. The Dayao Bay Terminal has two specialized bulk grain berths, an import grain berth for vessels of 80,000 dwt and an export grain berth for vessels of 30,000 dwt. The total silo contents reach about 420,000m3.
