Hainan Port Navigation Holding Co., Ltd is a state-owned stock holding enterprise organized on the base of the former Haikou Port Group Company and Hainan Province Marine Transportation General Corporation reorganizing the state-owned capital rights and interests. It is a comprehensive economic entity engaged in harbor loading and unloading, storehouse, marine passenger cargo and container transportation, Ocean ship tallies, ships repair, commercial trade, traveling, property development, estate management. It is the biggest state-owned port navigation stock holding enterprise of Hainan Province at present.
The Company subordinate has three seaports in North Hainan, they are Haikou Xiuying Port, Haikou New Port, Ma Cun Port, with implementation of unified plan, unified construction, unified operation and unified management. Among them, Haikou Xiuying Port is the communication hub of Hainan Province and the passenger and cargo collection and distribution center. It is listed as the main hub port in our country coast harbor developmental strategy by the Ministry of Communications and the international container skeleton line harbor of Hainan Province. It is a national kind of open port. Haikou New Port and Ma Cun Port already passed the acceptance by the state and formally opened toward the world on June 1, 2005.
The company has more than 6,300 staff. The total length of the harbor waterfront is of 4,614 meters, with 33 different kinds of productive quay berths, 21 roll-on-off ships (43739 tons of gross tonnages) and 5 production auxiliary ships, 236 of each kind of main production mechanical devices, 27 warehouses of 73,900 square meters altogether, 128,500 square meters dump site. At present, the Company has opened passenger and goods transportation routes from Hakou to Hai'an, Beihai, Zhanjiang, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. It has also opened the international container routes from Haikou to Hong Kong, Gaoxiong, Shibushi, Kokura, Hiroshima's; and the domestic container routes from Haikou to Guangzhou, Beihai, Zhanjiang, Quanzhou, Tianjin, Dalian, Qinhuangdao.
